I did take a drink from the fountain, but got sick later, so do this at your own risk.		Back in Florence. It was common to see these "Smart Cars" around Florence and the surrounding area. They're very small—just two seats, and about the size of a golf cart.

One day a few of us went on a guided walking tour of the hills around Florence, organized by the Esperanto congress. Our tour guide spoke both Italian and Esperanto, and explained to us what we were seeing. Here's a tower at what I believe was a private residence of some kind.
